Paris Fashion Week is the largest of the big four weeks that Fashion Month is comprised of, yet you wouldn't think so if you were to use live streams as any kind of measure.

This season 16 designers live streamed, which continues a slow but incremental season-by-season increase. Last season 14 designers streamed, while it was only a few years ago only four shows were shown live online.

The increase is mainly down to trunk show website My Beautiful Dressing live streaming four shows; Anne Valerie Hash, Sharon Wauchob, Alexis Mabille and Veronique Leroy. As I discussed in the article on Paris' live streaming offering, we're relying on websites like My Beautiful Dressing to help put weight behind the concept of live streaming.

Ominously, several shows decided not to live stream. Mugler didn't this season, while Paola Frani, John Galliano and H&M were just some of the shows that live streamed last season, but chose not to this season.

So a positive season for Paris, but still relative baby steps. Still no sign of a breakthrough, although hopefully My Beautiful Dressing can help bridge the gap over the coming seasons.
